Wake Up America

As I sit down to write this, please understand that I am in no way an expert on biblical prophecy.  I am relaying to you what God has said in His Word, the Holy Bible.

What is happening to America? What is God up to? Is HE changing the lens through which we view things? Is HE fine tuning it, so that we may see and value,  what HE sees & Values?  Perhaps this is true. God’s heart has always been for HIS People. This pandemic is causing everyone across the nation to look at their own lives (including my own), and re-evaluate what is important in life.  God loves us so much and HIS heart is to have a relationship with us, through his Son, Jesus Christ! Unfortunately, many have turned away from HIM.  I believe this is a wake up call for America!

**“Do you not fear me? Declares the Lord. Do you not tremble before Me? I placed the sand as the boundary for the sea, a perpetual barrier that it cannot pass; though the waves toss, they cannot prevail; though they roar, they cannot pass over it.  But this people has a stubborn and rebellious heart; they have turned aside and gone away. (Jeremiah 5:22&23)**

Oh How He LOVES us! As I study the book of Jeremiah, I am reminded of how eerily similar our world is today…just like the days of the prophet, Jeremiah. Jeremiah was sent to warn God’s people, to turn back to HIM! They had strayed and gone so far away from HIM. Jeremiah was also known as the Weeping Prophet, because he was the bearer of bad news.  Over and over again, the Lord told Jeremiah to warn the people to TURN FROM their false idols & gods and TURN TO HIM!  

**”Like a scarecrow in a melon patch, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good. But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King. When he is angry, the earth trembles; the nations cannot endure.” (Jeremiah 10: 5 & 10)**

Fast forward to today & COVID 19. What is the LORD up to?  I believe HE is trying to get our attention. Today we don’t worship idols made of gold, like they did back then, BUT we do have our own little gods.  Money, Sports, Fame, Power, Control, Fitness, Self-Centered, and the list goes on. Who or What are you worshipping?  If it’s NOT Jesus, ask the Lord to give you a new lens, to see things as HE sees them. And to give you a new heart, to value what HE values.  Nothing has changed from the beginning of time.

**“ All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned away-every one-to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him(Jesus), the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:6)**

Is God leveling the playing field?  Is HE Stripping away all of what is frivolous & unimportant to HIM, yet important to us? When this is all over, will we ever look at things the same?  Or we will have gone through a CHANGE from the inside out?  A heart change or a lens change? From the Wealthy and powerful, to the rich and famous, from the star athletes, to the Elites in Washington DC….I believe we will change to view things as God views things and value what is truly important in life, PEOPLE & RELATIONSHIPS!

**“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:18 &19)**

Wake Up America!  Don’t miss this! God is doing something NEW in our Land. I do believe these unprecedented and challenging times are Here to GET OUR ATTENTION. Turn to Him, turn to Jesus, the only ONE in whom we have forgiveness of our sins.  Do you Know HIM?  It’s Not too Late! As we approach Easter and the celebration of the Death & Resurrection  of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ…. I am asking you to consider what God is doing in Your Life? God loves us so much and HE wants to have a personal relationship with each one of us, through his Son, Jesus Christ.  

**“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9**

We need to get our knees, and pray for our country, that the Lord would heal our Land. 

**“If my people, which are called by name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)**

Turn to HIM, and away from sin.  Trust that Jesus died for you, and that you can have eternal life through HIM and him alone. 

**(Jesus speaking) “I am the way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6**

Don’t be Afraid! Don’t panic! Instead be filled with the Peace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.  He has everything under control. 

**“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)**
